How Does Medifast Work?

Medifast is a weight loss program developed and sold by Jason Pharmaceuticals of Maryland. The idea behind the Medifast diet is bringing the body into a state of ketosis, a metabolic state when the liver excessively converts fat into fatty acids and ketone bodies that can be used by the body for energy, through careful calorie and carbohydrate control.
